COLLABORATIVE UNIT WEEK 9

This week our model, materials, and lenses have been completed, this week is mainly to do the final light debugging and rendering work.

I actively communicate with the group leader about the color and lighting of the scene. Several more revisions were made before the rendering began. I mainly rendered the four scenes I made myself.

And finally the colors of the scene I rendered out. In this week and next week our group will edit the video clip and add some special effects to make the whole clip look more realistic and perfect.

Finally, we should also use NUKE for the final adjustments.

NUKE WEEK 9

Homework Video

This week we learned to use IBK COLOR, IBK GIZMO, KEYLIGHT,

PRIMATE, ADMIX, LIGHT WRAP, to quickly clear the green screen

IBK COLOR, IBK GIZMO

ChromaKeyer

KEYLIGHT

PRIMATE&UNPRIMATE

Some of these methods are two-dimensional identification of colors for keying, while Primatte is color keying in a three-dimensional perspective. The first two I think are suitable for simple keying, while Primatte I think will work better.

After that, the teacher also talked about how to use channels to change the background color.

For the assignment, I used the channel to give the main characters a clear alpha layer, after which I used keylight to subtract the green screen. After toning, I combined the background with the characters, and removed the mics with masks, and used tracking to move the background with the characters.

NUKE WEEK 8

This week our teacher showed us how to use the green screen for processing and how to use the Keyer and Colourspace nodes for color and saturation adjustment.

We can use the IBKGizmo and keylight nodes to deduct the green screen so that the object can be separated quickly

Then, we learned the node Keyer,

his node gives you access to several simple keyers. You can use it to pull keys based on the input image’s:

• red, green, or blue channel,

• red screen, greenscreen, or bluescreen,

• luminance (the default),

• saturation, or

• maximum and minimum values.

To use this node, view the alpha channel in the Viewer. Then, use the range graph to adjust the low and high pixel values of the matte. The A handle determines the low or transparent values of the key: any pixels that fall below this value are clipped to black. The B handle determines your high or opaque values: pixel values above this setting are clipped to white.

After that, I learned that I can get the part I want to highlight by using the phase subtraction of the color channel, but this paragraph is a little difficult to understand.

After that, a new node EdgeDetect, which is a node that detects edges, is also known. It can identify edges quickly.

After that, we learned a series of nodes such as colorlookup, which helps us to adjust colors faster.

For the final assignment, I used the channel color subtraction method to try to come up with the area I wanted, a knowledge I will have to continue to consolidate in the future.

MAYA CRYPT WEEK 8

This week I mainly adjusted the light in my scenes.

I adjusted the color temperature and the angle to make the machine fit the whole environment better. And adjusting the edges of the light to make the shadows more realistic

After that, it was time to start rendering. Since you are rendering in layers, set the AOV in the render. When all the layers have been added you will finally merge them together.

Nuke week 7

This week will focus on the principles of CG compositing and what is included in CG compositing.

The teacher also introduced if matching colors.

Since CG has many channels, here is mainly about how each layer can be changed to make CG more realistic.

CG in the process of processing, I think the need to analyze the original video, analysis of the original video light as well as shadows and materials, only many aspects of the production, so you can produce a real CG.

MAYA CRYPT WEEK 7

This week my model was completed as well. I am going to start importing my models into the scenes my teacher has given us.

First I tracked the scene given by the teacher in 3D. Afterward, the tracked camera is exported in FBX format. and import it into MAYA

And to make the picture look more natural. I added aiShadowMatte around the perimeter to give the whole environment a shadow.

Afterward, I also based the light on the teacher’s scene. Added 4 aiAreaLightS. to the scene and adjusted the parameters to the environment.

COLLABORATIVE UNIT WEEK 7

This week the models and UVs were completed, and after our group met over the weekend, we started to apply materials to our models.

The main software I used for the material was Substance Painter, and I had a thorough discussion with my group members during the materialization process. We will make several textures to discuss their effects. I hope to make our video even better.
